Description: This is a 4-HOUR Texas Electrician continuing education class is based on the following:

  • Two hours on the 2011 NEC® 
  • One hour on Electrical Safety NFPA 70E®
  • One hour on Texas Electrical License Law and Administrative Rules

This course is approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for renewal of all Texas State Electrical Licenses.

Construction Outreach Safety Training

OSHA 10-Hour

This 10-Hour Outreach Training Program teaches workers about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards in construction.

An excellent program for ALL electrical personnel, Job Foremen, Supervisors, Project Managers, and Company Owners.

Participants who complete the full 10-Hour course (must attend BOTH classes) will receive an U.S. Department of Labor-OSHA course completion card in Construction Safety & Health. The following subjects will be covered as well as some tips on keeping your jobsite safe.

American Red Cross

Standard Fist Aid with CPR & AED - Adult

This training meets OSHA and NFPA 70E Guidelines for First Aid and CPR Programs and combines lecture, interactive video demonstrations featuring emergency scenarios that are likely to occur in a variety of environments and hands-on training to teach participants lifesaving skills.

  • First Aid: Participants learn to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts and scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies.
  • CPR Adult: Participants learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults.
  • AED: Participants learn how to use automatic external defibrillators.

Emergency Preparedness Training for Electricians

Train employees to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies. Students who successfully complete this course will receive certificates for Standard First Aid with CPR / AED valid for two years.

Electrical Exam Preparation for Texas Electricians

Based on the 2011 National Electrical Code


Description:This is a course designed to prepare the Journeyman and Master Electricians to take the state license exam. Our exam preparation seminars are very fast paced and cover Electrical Theory, Ohms Law, the 2011 NEC® and Code Calculations in great detail.

Sample exam style practice questions will be provided at each class for homework to be reviewed at the next scheduled class meeting.

Students are asked to bring a 2011 code book, calculator and highlighter pens.

General Cancellation Policy
To receive a full refund, cancellation must be received in writing via fax, mail or email at least three (3) days prior to the seminar. If notification is received less than three (3) days in advance, registration can be transferred to another person at the time of cancellation. If no notice is received, the registration fee will be forfeited.

If inclement weather, illness, minimum size class enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances prohibit a seminar from being conducted, a full refund will be given to each person registered. Cancellation requests should be submitted to CenTex IEC, 8868 Research Blvd., Suite 502 Austin, TX 78758 or they can be faxed to 512-832-1883 or emailed to Erica Waiser .

CenTex IEC reserves the right to cancel a seminar / Class and move the attendees to an alternate date if minimum class size is not met.
