About the IEC
The IEC is a national trade association of over 3,500 Independent Electrical Contractors with chapters at the local, state and national level.
IEC has more than 70 chapters nationwide to meet the unique needs of its members.
Each year more than 10,000 apprentices are trained at IEC facilities, providing a strong, reliable labor force for the electrical and systems contracting industry.

About the Central Texas IEC
The CenTex IEC chapter was started in 1996 by twelve Independent Electrical Contractors with an objective of recruiting and training electricians for their businesses. This chapter has grown to over 60 contractor members and 30 associate members with more than 200 apprentices currently enrolled in school.
Our geographical area includes Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, Bell, Burnet, Lampasas, Coryell, and McLennan Counties.
Bringing together contractor members, industry partners, customers, suppliers and service providers is our focus. This combined affiliation provides a flexible and comprehensive package of programs and services that raise the standards for the electrical trade.
Contractors of all sizes will benefit from membership in the IEC.
